A low [1006 hPa] over northeastern New South Wales is expected to move onshore tonight. A second low is then forecast to develop in the southern Coral Sea, strengthening and briefly moving towards the southeast coast on Sunday as the first low weakens before moving back offshore on Monday. A ridge will extend across the south Queensland waters in the wake of this system.
