A high pressure system over eastern Bass Strait will move over the Tasman Sea tonight, with northerly winds freshening on Friday as a cold front crosses the Bight. The front is expected to weaken as it crosses Victoria on Saturday, with a new high pressure system then expected to rapidly cross Victoria on Sunday. The high will move over the Tasman Sea on Monday as the next cold front crosses the Bight.
