- A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea drifts slowly away to the east today, while a cold front and low pressure system develops south of the Bight. The cold front is expected to slowly cross Bass Strait during late Saturday and into Sunday. The low pressure system is then expected to move over Bass Strait or southern Victoria on Monday with a southwesterly airstream in its wake.
