A high pressure system over the Bight extends a ridge over Bass Strait. The high will sit near-stationary over the Tasman Sea from Tuesday to Thursday, extending a dry and progressively warmer northerly flow over Victoria. A cold front will approach from the west on Friday as the high finally becomes more mobile.
