- A cold front embedded in a westerly flow will cross Gippsland during Thursday evening before moving away into the Tasman Sea, as a ridge of high pressure builds over the north of the State. The high will move into the Tasman Sea later Friday, ahead of an approaching strong cold front to the west. The front is will cross Victoria during Saturday. Another ridge of high pressure extends over the State during Sunday before another cold front clips the south of the State on Monday.
