A weak ridge extends over the southern Queensland waters from a high [1025 hPa] over the northern Tasman Sea. A series of troughs will move east across southern Queensland during Friday and Saturday, with northerly winds ahead of them. The troughs will shift offshore late Sunday, with a southwesterly wind change accompanying the passage of the trough.
