Weather Situation
A high [1025 hPa] in the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over the south Queensland waters. The high will slowly move east during today, as a trough deepens over southwestern parts. The trough will cross the southeast waters on Thursday. A high in the Great Australian Bight will extend a new ridge over the south Queensland waters later Thursday in the wake of the trough, driving a southeasterly wind surge north along the east coast Thursday evening and Friday.
