Weather Situation: A ridge extends to the north of the south Queensland waters. A vigorous coastal low is developing off the New South Wales coast, remaining today before pushing eastwards into the Tasman Sea on Thursday. Between the ridge and the low, fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds will persist across south Queensland waters for several days.
