A ridge extends over the southern Queensland waters from a high [1040 hPa] south of Australia and will persist for the next several days as the high moves eastwards. A weak southeasterly change will enter the Gold Coast waters on Sunday night, with a stronger change moving through southern Queensland waters on Monday into Tuesday.
