A ridge extends over the south Queensland waters. A weak trough will cross the south Queensland waters on Friday night and Saturday morning, followed by a new ridge. The ridge will strengthen slightly on Sunday and Monday. From Sunday, a high near Tasmania and a low near New Zealand will combine to increase winds and waves for a few days.
