A trough and southeasterly change will stall about the southeast coast today. A high [1023 hPa] over the Bight moves east and extends a new ridge over the weekend. Another weak trough will develop over the southeast coast from late Sunday. A weak tropical low 23U [1002 hPa] in the Coral Sea is likely to drift southward, but remain well offshore over the next few days.
