Weather Situation

A deep, complex low [987 hPa] low pressure system crosses Tasmania and moves into the Tasman Sea on Thursday. A high in the Coral Sea extends a weak ridge across northern Queensland. A weak trough connected to this low will cross the south Queensland waters on Wednesday night. The low is forecast to move towards New Zealand at the end of the week, with a new ridge to extend over south Queensland waters in its wake on the weekend.
