A ridge extends over the southern Queensland waters from a high [1040 hPa] south of Australia and will persist for the next several days as the high moves eastwards. A southeasterly change will enter the Gold Coast waters this morning, moving through the southern Queensland waters today before weakening tomorrow morning as it moves past Hervey Bay.
