Variable about 10 knots becoming southeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the middle of the day then tending easterly in the late evening. Winds reaching up to 20 knots offshore south of Cape Bowling Green during the afternoon and evening.

Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres inside the reef by early evening.

Weather Situation

A weak pressure gradient extends over the north Queensland waters. A trough moving northward along central Queensland coast will stall near the coast between Townsville and Cairns over this weekend and linger into early next week.
