Weather Situation

A high [1031 hPa] over southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge over the north Queensland waters. The ridge will weaken as the high moves southeast and is replaced by a new high. Severe Tropical Cyclone Maila [971 hPa] in the Solomon Sea is forecast to strengthen further over the next days and start moving southwest from mid week this week.
