A weak low [1004 hPa] off the south Queensland coast is creating a squeeze with a ridge of high pressure along the coast. The low will shift away to the northeast and the ridge of high pressure will weaken over coming days, with a weak pressure pattern in place. A trough may approach far southeast waters from inland southern Queensland over the weekend.
