A trough extends over the Peninsula waters and will develop into the monsoon trough while pushing south into the Cooktown waters during today. Tropical low 29U may develop over the norther Coral Sea next week. A ridge and southeasterly wind surge extends over the waters south of Bowen, and is pushing north over Townsville waters today.
