Weather Situation

A weakening trough will cross the waters south of Cairns on Tuesday. A ridge will extend over the north Queensland waters in the wake of the trough as a high [1021 hPa] moves east across southern Australia. The ridge will strengthen on Wednesday as the high moves into the Tasman Sea, and be maintained on Thursday as the high moves east.
