- A ridge of high pressure extends over the South Queensland waters from a high [1026 hPa] over southeastern Australia. The ridge will weaken later this weekend as the high drifts east. A trough will move east across southern Queensland from Sunday and across the South Queensland waters on Monday, followed by a new ridge. Fresh to strong northerly winds will develop over the far southeast water later this weekend, ahead of westerly wind change during Monday.
