Weather Situation

A firm ridge extends over the southern Queensland waters from a large high [1041 hPa] near Zealand. The ridge will remain in place over coming days while gradually weakening over the weekend as the high slowly moves eastwards. A trough may form near the northern New South Wales or far southeastern Queensland coast later in the weekend or early next week.
