Weather Situation

A trough will linger over the Peninsula or northern Cooktown waters for several days and is forecast develop into a monsoon trough from Thursday. A weak tropical low (17U) in the northwest Coral Sea is forecast to move southeast, while another low may form within the monsoon trough later this week.
