Weather Situation
A trough lying across northern Cape York Peninsula is developing into the monsoon trough. Tropical Low 12U is forming along the trough in the Coral Sea, and is forecast to move towards the north Queensland coast later this week. To the south of the trough, a ridge from a high [1020 hPa] over the Tasman Sea is enhancing southeasterly winds between it and the trough over the next several days.
