A squeeze between 12U and a ridge of high pressure from a high [1022 hPa] over the Tasman Sea will lead to vigorous southeasterly winds south of the trough over the next several days. Meanwhile, a vigorous northwesterly monsoon flow will develop across Torres Strait during today.
