Weather Situation

A high [1029 hPa] over southern Australia extends a ridge over the north Queensland waters. The ridge will weaken as the high moves southeast and is replaced by a new high. Tropical Cyclone Maila [986 hPa] in the Solomon Sea is forecast to strengthen further by Monday morning and start moving southwest from mid-next week.
