- A weak ridge extends across northern Queensland waters from a high [1029 hPa] centred near New Zealand. A weak pressure pattern and light winds will develop from Wednesday as the ridge weakens. A trough and southwesterly winds change situated in the interior is forecast to cross waters south of Innisfail on Thursday, with a ridge developing behind it.
