Weather Situation

A high [1031 hPa] over southern Australia extends a ridge over the north Queensland waters. The ridge will be maintained as the high moves southeast and is replaced by a new high. Tropical Low 37U [998 hPa] in the Solomon Sea is forecast to develop into a tropical cyclone during the weekend and start moving southwest from mid-next week.
