Weather Situation

A high over New South Wales extends a ridge over the north Queensland waters, gradually weakening. Severe Tropical Cyclone Maila in the Solomon Sea is forecast to move over the area over the next few days and start moving southwestwards from mid-week, approaching Far North Queensland into the weekend.
