Weather Situation: A low [991 hPa] well east of Australia has generated a brief period of increased swell. The low will approach New Zealand on Wednesday and cross it on Thursday. A ridge extends over the south Queensland waters. A weak high may briefly move into the southern Coral Sea on Thursday. On Friday, a weak trough may cross the southeast waters during the morning, followed by a new ridge as a high moves into the Tasman Sea.
