A firm ridge of high pressure extends over the southern Queensland waters from a high [1034 hPa] centred over southeastern Australia. A low [1012 hPa] well off the southern Queensland coast will move west and approach the coast during today, enhancing winds and waves. The low will shift north into the Coral Sea while weakening from Sunday.
