A ridge extends over the south Queensland waters as a high [1031 hPa] moves east across southern Australia, persisting for a few days. The high will weaken as it moves east across the Tasman Sea from Sunday. A coastal trough is forecast to form over the southeastern waters on Monday, before moving into waters off New South Wales and deepening into a coastal low next week.
