A trough located offshore of southeastern Queensland is connected to a low off the New South Wales coast, and will continue to move eastward through today. As the low pressure system moves away to the south, a weak ridge from a high [1015 hPa] over central Australia will extend over southern Queensland, remaining in place for the next several days as the high slowly moves eastwards.
