A weak ridge over the South Queensland Waters will contract northward from today, as a weak trough becomes slow moving over inland southeast Queensland. Another stronger trough may start to move northward over the South Queensland Waters from Tuesday. A fresh to strong southeasterly change in the wake of the trough will arrive over the far southern waters Tuesday night, moderating on Wednesday while pushing a little further north.
