Weather Situation

The monsoon trough and an embedded monsoon low extend across the eastern Carpentaria into northwest Queensland. The monsoon will strengthen over the Gulf of Carpentaria during the weekend as the monsoon low moves eastwards, then ease a bit in western Gulf waters from Monday as drier air enters.
