This trough will strengthen again during the weekend and head northward, reaching the Hunter Coast by Sunday before stalling as a second high pressure system enters the Tasman Sea. Meanwhile a tropical low pressure system over Queensland is forecast to extend a trough towards the state's far northeast during the weekend. These systems will bring increased showers or rain to the eastern areas during the weekend.
