- A strong high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea will slowly drift east towards New Zealand over the next several days while directing an onshore easterly airstream over the coastal waters of New South Wales. A coastal trough is expected to deepen about the north coast early this week, deepening into a Tasman Low, shifting winds to the south and bringing unsettled weather.
