Variable about 10 knots becoming northwest to northeasterly 15 to 20 knots in the middle of the day then tending southerly in the early afternoon. Winds reaching up to 25 knots inshore during the afternoon and evening.

Northeasterly around 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore north of Cape Byron.

Weather Situation

A cold front and trough will pass over the Tasman Sea bringing a southerly change northward along the NSW coast. A ridge of high pressure will build over the coastal waters in the wake of the southerly change, turning winds east to northeasterly over the coastal waters for the early days of the week.
