- A series of high pressure systems passing to the south of the state extends a ridge along New South Wales coast, maintaining an onshore east to northeasterly airstream. Then, a trough looks set to develop near the south coast later in the week and brushes the entire coast on Friday and through the weekend, bringing fresh to strong southeasterly winds in its wake.
