Smoky Cape to Seal Rocks

Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 2 metres offshore north of Crowdy Head.

Weather Situation: A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea along with a low pressure system maintains east to northeasterly winds along the north coast, while a trough extending from the low brings south to southeasterly winds over southern coastal waters. The low will traverse the northeast quarter of the state today, before entering the coastal waters of the Hunter or Mid North Coast by Friday and moving further offshore over the weekend, with fresh to strong south to southwesterly winds in its wake. A high pressure system will build over Queensland later on in the weekend, turning winds westerly over coastal waters.

Wind: North to northeasterly 15 to 20 knots shifting southwesterly 15 to 25 knots early in the morning. Winds reaching up to 30 knots offshore during the afternoon and evening.

Seas: 1 to 2 metres, decreasing to 1 metre during the morning, then increasing to 2 to 3 metres during the afternoon.

Weather: Cloudy. Near 100% chance of rain. The chance of a thunderstorm in the morning and afternoon.
