Partly cloudy. The chance of fog inland in the early morning. Medium chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening. The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and early evening, possibly severe with heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding in the south. Light winds becoming east to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the late evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 16 and 21 with daytime temperatures reaching 26 to 32.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is extending a ridge over northern NSW and pushing north to northeasterly winds over northern coastal waters. Meanwhile a trough will strengthen during the weekend as it tracks northward along the coast, reaching the Hunter Coast by Sunday before stalling, as a second high pressure system enters the Tasman Sea and directs east to southeasterly winds over coastal waters.
