Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea along with a low pressure system maintains east to northeasterly winds along the north coast, while a trough extending from the low brings south to southeasterly winds over southern coastal waters. The low is spinning over the northeastern part of the state before entering the coastal waters of the Hunter or Mid North Coast during today and moving further offshore over the weekend, with fresh to strong south to southwesterly winds in its wake. A high pressure system will build over Queensland later on in the weekend, turning winds westerly over coastal waters.
