A strong high pressure system over Tasmania and a low pressure system moving over New Zealand will continue to drive fresh to strong southerly winds and large, powerful waves to the coastal areas today until Wednesday. Then, the high will move east and enter the Tasman Sea from mid-week, maintaining a ridge over the coastal waters.
