- Weather Situation
- A low pressure system just north of the Murray extends a trough over Gippsland and along the southern NSW coast. A new low pressure circulation is forecast to develop over eastern Bass Strait this evening as the trough moves offshore, with another trough extending west through central Bass Strait and then north over the bays. This system will move south through the night. On Saturday, a developing low pressure system well to the southwest will begin to influence Victoria's weather, with northwesterly flow developing and a weak cold front clipping the southwest late in the day. The northwesterly flow will then strengthen on Sunday ahead of the low and associated cold front reaching the State on Monday.
