A trough lies to the north of the Kimberley, as a ridge developing over southwest WA brings south to southwesterly winds to the west Pilbara waters, with fresh southerly winds up the Gascoyne coast. A trough develops down the west coast over the weekend, with an embedded low forming early next week.
