- Severe Tropical Cyclone Narelle is located over waters north of the Pilbara, travelling west-southwest, parallel to the Pilbara coast. On Friday, the system will move near the Northwest Cape and curve southwards towards the west coast, with potential for a severe impact on the far western Pilbara coast from later Thursday. A ridge extends into the east Kimberley this weekend.
