A broad trough lies over the Kimberley and Interior, and will branch back towards the central Pilbara coast from Friday. Tropical Cyclone Fina located over waters to the north of the Northern Territory may take a southwest track through the Timor Sea or closer to the northern Kimberley coast later in the weekend or early next week.
