A broad trough lies over the Kimberley extending west offshore the Kimberley coast, with a high pressure ridge to the south continuing to bring easterly winds over Pilbara waters Thursday morning. Later Thursday and Friday the ridge weakens with the trough then extending from the Kimberley and through the Pilbara with generally southwest to northwest winds over coastal waters.
