Weather Situation

A weak trough will remain near coastal parts of the Kimberley and east Pilbara during the next few days. A ridge extending through the Pilbara will maintain largely east to southeasterly winds off the coast, although the ridge will be gradually breaking down and leaving a lighter wind regime in place by the weekend. Winds will tend more northwest to southwesterly off the Pilbara and west Kimberley coast by late Sunday in response to a strong cold front reaching the southern part of the State.
