A ridge is weakening over the region today. A cold front will sweep across the coastal waters on Friday morning, then a deep low will pass south of the lower west coast early Saturday, resulting in a gusty westerly flow across the Perth coast persisting into Saturday. Winds will begin to ease on Sunday as the low moves eastward through the Southern Ocean and a weak ridge extends in from the west.
