- A west coast trough is moving inland as a new ridge develops over the southwest from Tuesday. Ex-Tropical Cyclone Mitchell has crossed the Gascoyne coast this early morning and continues to weaken as it moves over land through the southern Gascoyne. It is expected to dissipate over the northern Goldfields on Wednesday as the ridge pushes into central parts of the State.
