- A west coast trough is moving inland as a new ridge develops over the southwest from Tuesday. Tropical Cyclone Mitchell is expected to move south, close to the Gascoyne coast for the rest of today, before turning southeast and weakening to a Tropical low over the inland southern Gascoyne early Tuesday. The ridge of high pressure will strengthen over the rest of the south coast on Wednesday.
