A ridge extends through the Kimberley and east Pilbara and will remain in place through the weekend, while a weak trough drifts into the west Pilbara. The trough will start moving eastward through the Pilbara early next week as ridging off the Kimberley weakens, and a new ridge develops into the west Pilbara.
